The development of Building 22 added a new, 141,800-square-foot skilled nursing residence to the Minneapolis Veterans Home campus that overlooks the Mississippi River. Minnesota veterans now have access to a modernized facility that feels more like home. The BDH designers were diligent in ensuring all aspects of design met industry standards for skilled nursing care and privacy while incorporating elements that resemble home. The five-story facility features 100 private rooms and bathrooms to make residents feel comfortable in their living quarters, as well as large open spaces for residents to gather and visit with their families.
