Pillars of Hermantown Wins MREJ Award

BDH received the Interior Design - Greater Minnesota Award at the 2025 Minnesota Real Estate Journal Awards for our work on The Pillars of Hermantown, a senior living community that redefines comfort, connection, and care.

Developed by Oppidan to meet the growing demand for senior housing in the Hermantown area, this project was designed to reflect local heritage while creating a cozy atmosphere. The interiors balance rustic charm with refined elegance, offering residents a warm and welcoming environment that supports both well-being and independence.

Key features include a soaring two-story lobby with open sight lines, a pub, library, and billiards room that foster community. Custom furnishings crafted from trees salvages on-site connect residents to the land's natural beauty and history.
