Grace Becher joins bdh+young design team
bdh+young recently hired Grace Becher to join the interior design team. As Designer, Grace Becher assists in managing the resource library and fosters the inclusion of sustainable materials within the projects designed by bdh+young. She also provides support to various project teams specializing in housing, healthcare and corporate design by producing schematic and design development documents, selecting finish materials and developing design schemes.
Grace is empathetic with her clients and takes their vision to heart. She takes the time to understand her clients’ requirements and makes it her responsibility to problem solve until an appropriate solution that aligns with all the project goals is developed.
Grace’s biggest passion is for sustainable design. She hopes that soon all buildings will be classified as net zero or net positive so that the world moves toward being truly sustainable and the quality of life for all people is improved.
Prior to joining bdh+young, Grace interned at EAPC Architects and Engineers. Grace graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in May with Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in both interior design and graphic design. She minored in sustainability and is a LEED Green Associate.
When she’s not in the office, Grace enjoys gardening, hiking, running, biking and going on camping trips with her family.
