MN Lottery Headquarters

When Minnesota Lottery renewed their lease in their 60,000 SF Roseville headquarters, leadership seized the opportunity to reimagine how the space could support their team. Enclosed rooms blocked natural light from workstations, departments that needed proximity were separated across floors, and a 190 SF break room served 150 employees.

Programming sessions with every department leader revealed how work actually flows and which teams depend on each other daily. The design moved private offices to the center, opening the perimeter to natural light and creating collaboration zones throughout. The main break room grew to nearly 1,000 SF, with two additional spaces on the second floor. Minnesota’s identity anchors the design: a two-story atrium with plank wood wrapping the elevator core like a lakeside dock, a living moss wall behind the logo, and custom lake imagery in training spaces. Stone, exposed concrete, and neutrals balance the brand’s lime green and deep blue. The result is a headquarters built for how employees work today and the growth planned for tomorrow.
