M Health Fairview’s Bloomington dermatology team needed an environment that could match the demands of their high-volume Mohs lab, and the new 15,000 square foot clinic delivers exactly that. The specialized Mohs lab became the project’s central focus, designed with precise workflow and dedicated space for pathology processing to support the technical demands of the procedure. Because Mohs patients often wait several hours while tissue samples are analyzed, the waiting area incorporates hospitality-inspired elements to improve comfort during these extended visits. A long, narrow floor plate and phased construction required splitting the layout into two functional zones while centralizing shared resources. Natural light now reaches previously windowless spaces, supporting patient experience and staff wellness alike. The result is a clinic triple its original size, built for comfort during anxious waits and designed to help clinical teams deliver excellent care.
